The only Gaucho Grill outside London, this gorgeous restaurant and bar does its critically-acclaimed siblings proud. A feast for the eyes as well as the stomach, it has two opulent mezzanine areas filled with cow-hide covered seats, and an open kitchen running the full length of the room. The Argentine steaks are what you really want to come here for; they’re the best. All are served with either chips or baked potato and a sauce of your choice. There are quality vegetarians options too, such escolar (seafish) and octopus marinated in lime, chillies and coriander, served with roasted sweet potato slices. Strong wine list features several fine and rare brands. DJs play every Saturday night. A steak-eaters heaven.

Parties large and small are welcome at all Gaucho Grills. Here in Manchester, a smart private dining room can be booked for parties of ten to 18. Alternatively 35 of you can eat together in the funky main restaurant surrounded by other chatty diners. Or you could opt for exclusive hire of this gorgeous venue which would allow you to invite up to 200 guests. A la carte, set and buffet menus available. Pre and after dinner drinks just have to be taken at the sleek, central, horseshoe-shaped bar. Big buzz guaranteed every Friday night when the resident band play salsa, Latin jazz and folk music. Disabled access to the toilets. Children welcome; highchairs provided. Open seven days a week.
