This small, smart, elegant restaurant is also a wine bar, cafeteria and takeaway as well as a fun place to find live music and belly dancing, so that would tick most of the boxes! The cuisine is Persian, with a special place in its heart for the lovely strawberry, and includes familiar middle-eastern dishes like starter of houmous and tzatziki but there are more unexpected delights as well. Try main course of Strawberry mix grill or crispy duck with creamed mushroom sauce, and pud of strawberry devil. A very good choice of veggie dishes is on offer.

No private room, but the whole venue seats only 40, so filling it with mates or colleagues should be no problem at all. The menu includes dishes like starter of assorted appetizers with a taste of everything, main course of flattened lamb fillet marinated and char-grilled, and pudding of strawberries with dark chocolate fondue.
